Land Rover introduced the four-door 110 and the two-door 90 in 1983 and 1984, respectively, to replace the long-running Series III. While both models looked a lot like their predecessors, they offered users a more up-to-date interior, a permanent 4-wheel drive system, and a coil spring suspension system. The 110 and the 90 morphed into the original Defender in 1990, and production carried on with minor updates until 2016.
