Power comes from a rear-mounted electric motor, which draws electricity from an 85-kWh lithium-ion battery pack to zap the rear wheels with 416 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque. In 2014, the EPA gave the Model S P85+ a maximum driving range rating of 265 miles.
