The hardcore 991 911 GT3 launched for 2014 and was also a departure from past GT3 iterations, ditching the Mezger engine and manual transmissions of its predecessors in favor of direct fuel injection and a Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission for more power and much faster shifting.
Power comes from a 3.8-liter flat-6, rated at 475 horsepower and 324 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission.
