Mercedes-AMG had the Porsche Panamera in its crosshairs when it developed the GT 4-Door. It was one of the few cars that AMG was allowed to design in-house; there is no "Mercedes-Benz"-branded version.
Power comes from a 3.0-liter turbocharged straight-6 linked to a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, rated at 429 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque, or a temporary 450 horsepower and 568 lb-ft of torque with EQ Boost. Output is sent to all four wheels via a 9-speed automatic transmission.
